Family Issues Support Group
Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.
My hsband is emotional abusive to me when his anxiety gets too much to handle. He tries to self medicate with alcohol but it only makes things worse. I have recordings of him going on and on. I am crying out for help but I know no one here in Colorado. No friends or family. I feel numb, so locked into damage control no room for anything else. I wish I could leave. Oh he is coming. He cannot know I am talking about this.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.
Are you certain you are focusing on the real issue?
Your job as his spouse isn't to stay put, suffer abuse, and provide 'damage control'. The reality is, you don't have any control over him, his drinking, his anxiety or his abuse. He's the only one who can fix his own problems. He may benefit from anti-anxiety medication.
You need to focus on yourself, stop enabling and supporting him, and find some peace for yourself.

I would look up Alanon groups in your area..... They are all over and are for the families of Alcoholics
It might help you find the tools you need to take care of you.... as well you'll find a support network.... There's no cost involved
There's another group on here that's busier than this one called Healthy Relationships and will probably gain you more support
