Family Issues Support Group
Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.
Living in an environment where you 'go crazy with stress' must be really difficult. Being scared to even be at home must be terrifying. I hope you're ok.
If I may ask, where do you live? Some people who live in your area may be able to suggest agencies that can assist with these kinds of situations.
Thanks :(
Did you graduate high school? What have you been doing for the past 7 years?
If Centrelink is able to help you, you can look for share accommodation in your local paper of online (gumtree.com?) if that interests you.
Alternatively, you can call the Lifeline crisis support (131114) or the family helpline on 1800062262. Perhaps they can help you decide what options or resources are available for you.
It may feel that the world is a scary place, but moving out on your own and looking after yourself can be a liberating experience.
Some people do not have parents that give a shit about their children. So they isolate and abuse them. Leaving them really mentally fucked up.
I am hoping that the laws in Brisbane is very tight and you can get help immediately from the cops if something goes wrong. Living in fear is bad.
Take this as a motivation and figure things out, talk to friends about getting a good job and moving out of the house. Can you talk to you mom about it? If so please do. Good luck! Take care.
This is supposed to be a place that people can come when they feel alone and desperate. I have been with DS for a long time, but I think if I just checked in like Emily, I might never come back.
Let's hesitate a bit before we start giving out directives, judging. We have no idea what another person is going through, has been through or what their situation is.
99% of the time people here are loving and caring but the other 1 % can cancel out the majority. Please, a little consideration for those members who are putting themselves out there for help
DS is a great place to get support and help. But there is no way to help if the poster doesn't want to share and isn't willing to at least consider what is being said.
Again, I'm sorry if you found my comment to be rude and uncalled for.
Last I knew nobody had to post anything that they do not want to. Suggestions are fine but my opinion is that we should proceed gently.
And quite frankly your post calling out my name feels very rude. I am not in here to get into an argument--enough of that in families and at work.
It seems that comments here have felt judgmental to myself and others so there is probably some truth to that.
