Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. So I got denied for my disability. In one section it says in the therapists notes it says that I said if turned down by disability I would get a pizza delivery job. I did not say that. I said I had thought about pizza delivery because I would not have to sit or stand for extended periods of time but that I ruled that out because in and out of the car would be hard on my back and I could not deliver to 3rd floor apartments cause i can't do stairs. My husband is screaming at the top of his lungs at me that i talk to much. so i ask what i am supposed to talk to therapist about for hour he says the weather. Or nothing.
There is also a note in the denial that at one of my therapist appointments I said" I have nothing to talk about" And it looks like they are using that against me also. I am so upset all I can do is cry.
I feel like I can't do anything right. no matter what if i talk they turn the words against me if i don't they say I am non compliant.
What really gets me is I have worked and put into disability and my employers put into now I need it and i can't get it Yet immigrants that put nothing in get it all.

Do you think they may have a point? What claim is it that you are making why you think you are entitled to it?
Not criticizing; just trying to learn about your situation.
As for the immigrant comment, well, that's just too political for me to touch.
My guess is that the therapist and other doctors were through workers comp since this was an on the job injury. Those doctors are paid by WC and are notoriously biased against the injured person. If you have the injuries you claim in your profile then you would have a reasonable case. Of course disability will want to consider what else you can do or be trained to do.

Who will hire someone for these jobs that can not work at face pace and can not have strict production requirements?
My husband will be on phone with lawyer Monday. I can not handle much more. I am on verge of a break down and another stay at the mental hospital.
So the person who said you have a limited time to appeal is right.
So call a lawyer as soon as you look over some of the ads and choose the one that looks best to you....they do all the routine filing...they know how to file an appeal, for instance...most of that paperwork is routine to them and done in a snap. It's the hearing in front of the judge that really counts....they can probably get you to that point and then advise you how best to deal with the hearing. free!
Most take a quarter of whatever initial payment you get from Soc. security disability. Usually that's about 2 years worth of payments. That's a lot of money for most of us, so if the lawyer helps you get it, it's kind of worth it to give the lawyer about 1/4 of it.
What I'm saying here is what my daughter found. I think it's basically the same everywhere, but the particular lawyer you choose will tell you the details for your specific case.

I have a lawyer. I have from the beginning. I thought he did good job at hearing. I was surprised I got denied.
I just read your profile. I'd keep going for it. They hope people accept the denial just to save money. Sorry you are going through this.
