FtM trying to deal with the loss of his family

 Hello everyone,


I came out as transgender, a while ago now, and my 'friends and family' all decided I was just dead to them, they said Horrible things to me and sometimes even actively prevented me from trying to transition so I left and we never speak.


Slugging along with my transition on my own, I miss my family and home town so much. In a way their declaring me dead to them they've rendered themselves sort of, functionally, dead to me.


I feel like I should try to mourn my loss somehow.

Welcome Andro...... I am so very sorry to read all that you're going through.... It must hurt a great deal......There is a Transgender board on here that isn't really busy but you can reach out if you'd like to make some new friends

You are trying to find your true self. So many times this involves leaving people behind. You will possibly experience sadness. But if there are people in your life who cannot give you the respect and encouragement/support you need then they must be left behind as you grow forward.

maybe the reason it is complex is because I miss (bad for me family) as I go forward

I can only imagine how painful it would be..... I hope you have some RL support as well andro..... Our PtSD board on here is very active if you think it may apply to you.... You could take a look..... There are several people on there with complex trauma as well a ptsd..... xo

i'm sorry to hear about what your friends and family have done to you, 'm sorry that the ones who were supposed to love you unconditionally have done you a great injustice, sometimes the risks that we take do truly be ourselves can leave us with no one to love us as us. my advice to you is keep strong keep focused on what you want out of this life and along the way you will find a new family who supports you unconditionally

Good advice to keep in mind Morg, difficult to maintain at times but I am still trying to make real goals happen, so thanks for the understanding and positive words.

    Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

    Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.
