Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. I HATE my sisters "fiance". I can get along with him if I try to, but on days like today I feel like telling him exactly what I think of him. I found out today that he is selling his pain medication that he gets for his bad knees and working on the weekends under the table for his apartment manager, yet he is still not paying a dime in bills. He spends it all on weed and beer.
He made my sister quit school and get on welfare and she pays all the bills and buys their 2 kids diapers food and clothes and he doesn't contribute anything and won't let her work or go to school or even come to visit me at my house.
He keeps her on such a tight leash that she cannot even walk to the mailbox without his permission, he times her when she goes to the store and if she is a minute late he calls her a dumb b**** or a **tard or any number of names and today I stormed out and told him to stop calling my sister names in front of her kids, and of course it's "my fault".
I realize I can't force her to leave him and she will have to get tired of it on her own but after 5 years it is so hard to bite my tongue when this pathetic mooch is calling my sister names especially in front of her kids, I don't want my niece thinking that this is how men are supposed to treat women!!
I just can't stand him, he just lays around on the couch drinking beer after beer and smoking weed while my sister does everything for the kids and cleans up after him and his alcoholic brother who gets drunk and pees on the floor, and he has the nerve to take her phone and car keys and say they're his and she can't leave. What kind of pathetic man would rather buy weed and beer than buy diapers for his kids or help his fiance get her GED so she can go to school?! He would rather treat her like a dog and pretend he owns her than see her happy.
I swear the next time he calls her a nasty name infront of me I'm going to lose my mind!! Someone help me here.

There are no guarantee's in life at all. He is more likely to sell to an undercover than anything. But that's beside the point. Your sister does need to get out of this relationship. Most times the abuse escalates. But its hard sometimes when we are afraid. The more people in her corner the better. Please let us know if you or she was able to speak to someone from a domestic victims service. I hope things work out for the both of you.
