DealRMe: I have posted a review of the book on Amazon and after that they have come back and back with more nasty prejudiced comments. (go to Amazon and you can see my comments and theirs. They rally are rabid and I think they are just bored and running out of material I doubt they will actually pay him and what ever he says in his own behalf will just be used against him...maybe they want to post something more /do another e-book whatever. My advise is to stay away from those dangerous people no matter what they promise you or him. They will not allow him to "fully explain himself' It's a sting and if he says anything new to explain whatever may have happened that is grounds to file new criminal charges against him.

After responding to a couple of the on-going comments on Amazon book review my assessment is that They are dangerous vindictive people and you and he should should stay clear. Period JanetM

Thank you for your advice Janet. And thank you for that review, didn't realize you did that. I still can't believe one of them wrote an entire book about him... I mean... I don't even think I could do that. But I see the responses they made to your comment... yea not nice. Why I don't attempt to do that. I fear as someone part of my uncle's life they will use it against him no matter how little I reveal about myself.

I just want them to stop. I don't know how they can run out of information... they have quite a bit as I am sure you remember. Just 5k is a lot. It looks like they've raised it according to their main site.

The $$$ is meant to tempt you into doing foolish, embarrassing stuff they can point to and laugh at. What's more even if they actually had the 5K they are not going to keep their end of this "bargain" no matter what they say now. they will never hand it to you. The scam is called bait and switch. 5K is just the carrot they are dangling in front to you both (and laughing and making fun of the fact that you ARE tempted to trust them again for promises of $$)

They will NEVER actually pay $$$ to you. And if he does try to co-operate and "gives them an interview" They will video and photo shop and the splice what he says until everyone watching will think he made a fool of himself. They will upload their doctored up video to UTube or facebook or TV so it goes viral and everyone laugh at his expense. They intend to hurt him even more.

They are laughing up their sleeves because they see you are about to trust them, fall for their fake offer of 5K and fall for their sting. All they want is to take advantage and and say GOTCHA! (again) You are right to fear they are just trying to get more and more to use against you both.The 5K is not real it's just BAIT and whatever you do they will not pay-up ever. They are gaming you.

I know what I'm telling you sounds harsh. But please do not fall for this. You and he will just be hurt more and be made to look stupid just because you wanted to believe someone would listen to your side this time so much that you fell for their cruel game again.

Hi, I don't know the story behind this post, but from the info here, no, DO NOT do the interview. I agree with Janet totally, it's a scam. There is no money, and it'll be used as evidence of his criminality. In the uk, convicted criminals can't 'profit' from their crime, which this would be classed as. If there's a similar law where you are, they may be trapping him that way...

Flat out NO .... For one thing it connects them to him forever .... He would never have a leg to stand on concerning the harassment etc .... I do not know how he would even consider it ...

In fact - the best way for him to "tell his side of the story" is by living a good life ...and doing his best to ignore those nuts which is what they are ...

They just don't know the whole story. They think he was lurking around looking to get into trouble, when he was really just trying to make it in music and his dream career. They shouldn't judge him with some chat log and phone calls. They think that's all he's ever done. They don't know the good he's done

@Phoenix, my uncle has a cult following online that has been harassing him for the last year. He was caught in a police/TV sting for chatting and going to meet a girl. So they use the chat log he had with the decoy (about a month), the phone calls they made, and his time he was shown on TV to make videos making fun of him. They have an entire website devoted to making fun of him. The chat logs and phone calls have been released as public record so they can't go away.

There are probably a few hundred YouTube videos making fun of him now :(

You're best course of action is to stop responding to them and just let them die out. It will happen eventually. If you stop giving them new material, they will become bored and it will eventually go away. Just leave it alone.

People get bored with things after a while, especially when you no longer feed into their bullying.

I know its awful and its hard, but just stop responding to them, stop asking questions about it to them and just let it drop. They will probably poke fun at that too, but if you keep giving in to them, keep giving them material to work with it will never go away.

That is my two cents.

You are naïve to think that him telling his side of the story will change their thoughts about him. As everyone else has said, they will take what he has said and twist it into what they want, to make him look worse.

Stop paying attention to these people. You are only feeding the Bears. We have a stalker who loves to take what we post and puts it on their website. They twist the words to anger is, so we go to the blog to read the latest dribble. I refuse to even visit the dribble. I don't care what they have to say. Their opinion of me doesn't make any difference to me.

If there are those whom you know, want to get more info on his charge, they can ask him. They are more likely to listen, and it's their opinion that counts, not theirs.

I mean that the best thing he can do for himself, his family, and to get revenge on the weirdos is to continue living well and being a good person. By doing that he is already a better person than any of them will ever be ....

The people who run this site keep track of trolls and the Journaling on Daily Strength is private here and would NOT mean endangering yourself (or getting in trouble for 'making $$ off your 'crime" which is in fact a Chargeable Offense whtrength and why I recommend Daily Strength to friends...

And by the way People like the Trolls in that cult do need 'new' material to keep increasing the # of views on UTube.
