That was enough to make anyone's stomach churn.
As Americans we like to think we are above most civilizations and countries as far as morality and humanity. But we really are not.
Throughout history the United States has done some horrific things to other groups of people. We killed the Indians and ran them off their land and we enslaved black folks for centuries. BTW, slavery is still with us, but it has just evolved somewhat. There are still people so ignorant and mean-spirited in this country that they would like to deport or kill every black person, every gay person, and every person who does not fit their "definition" of what they think an American should be.
It is disgusting and VERY ignorant.
We did not even allow women---who were American citizens and the mother of our children----the right to vote until 1920. How damn wrong is that???
We see all kinds of bigotry and injustices in our society today. No, we are not much different than most other countries; we just practice our bigotry in a more "sanitized" manner which makes it less noticeable.
rewdiazepam
and Hello there Rewdiazepan: No women (we who are the "forever" underclass in religious patriarchies world wide) could not vote until the 1920's but then most ex-cons can't vote even now, even after they have served their time while the KKK (and now the NRA) are the Gate-keepers forl the 10% and "regular prisoners and their guards" show just how rampant rape and bullying of SO's/ JSO's with the creation of SNY's on "inside.
Many Families on the Outside will no doubt dismiss any bid for "inclusiveness" aka widening these comments to the bigger picture but as just the newest PC Rant from a life member of America's "Untouchable" underclass and NOT pertinent to our concerns...but then they want to stamp all our passports SEX OFFENDER a law that will easily pass the US Congress.
At least in India they admit to a hereditary Untouchable underclass. But even they do not stamp Pass Ports "Untouchable" or do they? If only it were just as simple as changing your last name to "conform" with a "neutral" last name. But then with computers and all can an Indian Registry be far behind??? Isn't a Passport application the simplest way to categorize everyone worldwide as Underclass beings.
Sorry, but I rant... Janet Mackie
