for most of you on here that know me i have been posting for awhile now also for those of you that know me i told all of you that i got a letter last year saying i no longer have to registar they took my name off the megans law website i no longer have to go to the police dept and tell the police where i live what i drive etc i no longer have to get compliance checks from the police anymore i am back to being a "normal" person again it has been almost a year since i got that letter. well i was reading sex offender issuses this morning because i am still in the fight and i like to know what is going on well i came across this story there The Offendex web site scours the public sex offender records throughout the United States and collects the data in their own personal database. And even if a person is not listed publicly or has since been removed from the registry due to court order or because they are deceased, they still keep the information online, and in order to remove yourself or a loved one from their site, you must pay them a huge fee to get the record removed, and even then they admit, the record may or may not be removed.

So how are they getting away with extortion? Isn't that a crime in almost every state?

so i went to the site to see if my name was there and sure enough there is my name my picture i was shocked and stunned!!!! why am i on this site if i no longer have to registar now here is the kicker in order to have my name and picture removed from this site they want me to cough up $199.00 as i sat looking at this stunned the first thing that came to my mind is i cant afford this i am disabled on a fixed income what the hell!!! and in reading their disclamer it says they have a right to post my name and likeness due to the freedom of information act..............sounds to me like they are just trying to get money out of people because when i clicked on the link that says to remove your picture it goes to a paypal account again i am stunned not sure if they can do this i then went to california megans law web site typed in my name and nothing comes up....................dont know what else to say i am so mad right now cant see straight anyway peace out and god bless.............
