Since she won't post any responses on her blog if it is not Derek yelling at her or Shaun yelling at Derek, or some "friend" supporting her, I wanted to post my response here because I know she will see it.

How is having a consensual sex with a 16 year old girl the "new nambla"? Someone in stage 5 on the tanner scale of development (which is adult) is radically different from someone abusing an 11 year old awhile most likely is at tanner stage 2 of development. Thinking back to the late 90's how many men well over 18 were sexually interested in a young Britney Spears? Does it make them members of the "new nambla" to be interested in fully developed teenage girls? No.
Now was it illegal and should the guy have been punished? Yes, he knew the law and be clearly broke it. I think it is fine for the government to want to try and protect the older teens from coercion from adults. However, to put this guy on the same level as people who sexually abuses young children? To call him a child molester the same way you would call a guy who abuses a 6 year old? I don't get it, clearly once again your hate has blinded you Val.
Maybe I missed something but doesn't the B in Nambla stand for boy? You will have to fill me in on what connections Nambla has to RSOL because I haven't seen any. And even if you could definitively prove that Nambla supports RSOL it doesn't mean that RSOL supports Nambla.

And in response to the actual article, his contention that allowing a sex offender to practice law is opening some kind of Pandora's box--you do know you are lawyers right? As long as he is following the terms of being an RSO why should he be precluded from practicing law? I would think his perjuring himself in his own defense which you said was clearly shown in the case would be a bigger obstacle. But silly me you are lawyers, lying isn't a problem right?

The Blogger's neglected to mention that Oberstein had a clean record since his conviction and time served, and that he HAD NOT broken any laws since 1996 and that his charges had been reduced to misdemeanors, which means he's not even a felon. The Governor pardoned him. He's a living example of true rehabilitation and reintegration back into society......that's something to celebrate. It gives me hope that there is a chance for redemption for my husband.....it'll be hard, but, we're no strangers to challenges.
Val suffers from a reptile dysfunction, so everything she says is irrelevant. She didn't publish a reputable resource; instead, she publishes an attack blog read by very few people. The article was written in 2011 on a private attorney who talks about his days as a prosecutor. His opinion is no more valuable than the 'gaturd blog. I doubt anyone of note has read his drivel. The 'gaturd also cites Encyclopedia Dramatica as a legitimate resource, which is as legit as a three dollar bill. Hell, at this point, she is probably a believer in Raptor Jesus.
No matter what you say about her, good or bad, just mentioning that bottomfeeder makes her day. She really is a sad, pathetic creature.
