Since she won't post any responses on her blog if it is not Derek yelling at her or Shaun yelling at Derek, or some "friend" supporting her, I wanted to post my response here because I know she will see it.

How is having a consensual sex with a 16 year old girl the "new nambla"? Someone in stage 5 on the tanner scale of development (which is adult) is radically different from someone abusing an 11 year old awhile most likely is at tanner stage 2 of development. Thinking back to the late 90's how many men well over 18 were sexually interested in a young Britney Spears? Does it make them members of the "new nambla" to be interested in fully developed teenage girls? No.
Now was it illegal and should the guy have been punished? Yes, he knew the law and be clearly broke it. I think it is fine for the government to want to try and protect the older teens from coercion from adults. However, to put this guy on the same level as people who sexually abuses young children? To call him a child molester the same way you would call a guy who abuses a 6 year old? I don't get it, clearly once again your hate has blinded you Val.
Maybe I missed something but doesn't the B in Nambla stand for boy? You will have to fill me in on what connections Nambla has to RSOL because I haven't seen any. And even if you could definitively prove that Nambla supports RSOL it doesn't mean that RSOL supports Nambla.

And in response to the actual article, his contention that allowing a sex offender to practice law is opening some kind of Pandora's box--you do know you are lawyers right? As long as he is following the terms of being an RSO why should he be precluded from practicing law? I would think his perjuring himself in his own defense which you said was clearly shown in the case would be a bigger obstacle. But silly me you are lawyers, lying isn't a problem right?

As you probably know I am an advocate for JSO's who are tarred and feathered and their lives ruined by people like Val with axes to grind...

Or when you need to enroll your child at school (and he's a JSO) Then there are those rabid people who actually troll the Registry looking for someone to harm or humiliate. The only thing the Val-quote is missing is a reference to how "God " speaks to her from her Zanex bottle. It would be nice to dismiss her ravings as just that but hate speech does have consequences for all of us. There were 432 "status based Murders or killings of So/RSO's (counting only ones that could b documented) 1991-2012 and a rising number of status based vigilantism targeting SO ( multiply that by any # of families) According to info published at (http://truths-authority-factoids.blogspot.com/2013/sex-offender-laws-collateral.html) Status based deaths/ murders were rare before 2003 (19 deaths) . (Between 2003 and 2008 there were 67 an6 deaths since the AWA and Public Registries targeted SO's and their families and made it OK for Valigator-speech to incite hate and target real people.
