Of course any public registry is unconstitutional to the max ... but let them have at it. In the long run it may help us with our fight .....

I am curious - in the article it says this is not a registry for sex offenders or serial killers ....is there a registry for serial killers somewhere? Or is the author saying that sex offenders and serial killers are the same?

I have never seen or heard of a registry for murderers, let alone serial killers.

That's because serial killers are in prison for life if not given the death penalty. They are a public safety threat. But someone who isn't a first degree murderer, isn't in prison for life (and have a lower sentence than a sex offense), and do not have to register.

I know, off topic, but it looks like my son will be transferred to a Low facillity in TX.
Do you know much of the Federal Lows in TX??
I've heard Beaumont is not very good...??
Anyway, he hasnt been moved yet, but there is talk of him being shipped to the Transfer Center in OKC, then on to a facillity in TX...
Any answers, much appreciated as usual.

Pretty soon there will be a registry for everyone that has served their time and gotten out of prison. This country once they get you down that's where they want to keep you. Although I'm not for a registry at all I do feel there is worse crimes than many of the SO laws out there that lands people on a shaming in some states for their entire life. Being a lifetime registrant myself I wonder what happens if one day I get to the point I am unable to care for myself or even end up with Alzheimer disease (it does run in my family). Guess Ill end up back in prison because I cant go to a nursing home and I don't have family to care for me. This would be a sad day for myself AND the prison system for having to maintain my care
