RSOL is a national group with state affiliates posted on the site. PLEASE find your state and contact the rep. There are so many people out there trying to do this independently, and somehow, we need to join forces. Prior to my joining in with RSOL, I was like everyone here, desperately seeking support and a way to make a change. I believe I've found it. RSOL is a grass roots effort but I finally feel I am making a difference. I will be attending an ACLU lobby day at our state capitol next week wherein we will be taught to lobby in the morning and will then be introduced to our State Senators and Legislators for the afternoon session.

I would welcome any help. I worry so much for my son and what his life will be like when he is released. This has been a living night mare and it seems to only get worse as each day passes. I have been trying to find ways to help him and others because something and someone needs to take a stand on their behalf. They are human and deserve a chance to live as normal of life as possible.

Getting the word out to the public is the best defense. There are so many people out there that do not have a clue about what is going on. Fear and ignorance runs ramped. When the people that think that everyone on the registry is a violent threat to society are enlightened, they tend to become outraged, but the news media does not jump on this. They could expose the registry for what it is and the laws would have to change. Every person is different but they trough them all in the same basket and brand them all for life.
I know how you feel, trying to cope with a situation that should not be allowed to go on. Feeling helpless and hopeless. Whole families are being devastated by this. There are groups and orginizations out there trying to get the laws changed. What the lawmaker's are doing is crimes against humanity and they are not willing to blow the whistle on themselves. They are in to deep, so they keep it going.
Keep the faith. Prayer does make a difference. I do believe that things will change for the better.

OK, there has to be something wrong with charges of creating child porn if the girls did it themselves and sent it themselves. Maybe counseling, but sex offender?? And what if the boys didnt ask for the pictures? I am sure they would keep them because they are boys.

I think that taking action against those teens just shows how far out of hand the registry has gotten. Anything goes.
