Moving to Florida???? To Florida??? Better stay away from the whole damn state.

It is best for any SO to stay as far away from Florida as possible. It will be one of the biggest mistakes your friend could make to establish residence in Florida. He will regret his decision many times over.

Those people down there are nuts when it comes to sex offender laws and regulations. Just read some of the posts here. I am sure MANY Florida people will chime in here, but a registrant just HAS to stay away from that state.

Tell your friend to move to the NE or the NW part of the country, not as pretty but better SO laws.

What Maisr said, less pretty but at least up here they are trying to get rid of the SO registry. FL just keeps trying to add to it.

My son was sentenced in Floriduh and I moved myself and my business out of there to Philly 1 1/2 years before he was released, just so he could move to Philly when he was released.

Lifetime registration, 2500 foot residency restrictions from anywhere that children will be.

My husband is in Florida and he is going to ask for a transfer to Virginia because I live in here. I do not want to go back to Florida hopefully that will be when we have to sign the paper to sell our house.

I completely agree rewdiazepam and aladdin4d!! But he wants to move down there for a woman. No stopping him after he has made up his mind. I'll pass on everyone's advice. Hopefully he will get his head out of the skies enough to listen.

Texas was featured in a TV show and it said that they put 100 men a month on the registry - Florida and Texas are the worst sex offenders states in the nation although I have heard that AZ is getting close to being in that category - TN is also bad and Alabama -
