Here is a pending case which might help some of the Texans on this board regarding residency requirements. Some of the smaller towns called general-law cities----cities with a population of less than 5,000---are trying to pass their own version of residency restrictions as a city ordinance, even though they do not have the legal authority to do so.

Granted, this case is pending and it would only affect registrants who reside in towns less than 5,000, but it is a positive development.
