So this was the 'Federal Appeals Court' is that Indiana's Supreme Court?

I know this is older but it said they hadn't decided whether to appeal. I wonder to what court they'd appeal?

Good question and I can't find anything that says they tried to appeal so maybe they just let it quitely go under the bridge.

The link Rew used shows it was a federal appeal of first amendment rights, which means that precedent could apply to everyone, which is really encouraging! A state supreme court would only interpret if the law violates the state's constitution, but federal court looks at the federal constitution. States can give more rights, but they cannot give less than how the federal constitution is interpreted.

Ivy, I bieve If this was decided at the federal level it would probably go to the circuit court for that area, which i believe is the 7th circuit court of appeals?

If the Supreme Court of a state ruled it is against their own constitution there is nothing more to be done for the states law, it is unconstitutional. The legislature could make a constitutional amendment, but that would be difficult to say the least.
