Ugh - what the heck is wrong with these people? I will never figure out what the want from us? Get a job but don't work anywhere - find a place to live but don't live anywhere - I will bet this reporter is real proud of himself and in reality he needs a good dose of the truth! What a jerk!

Jax is a distance away from me but will write reporter in my area (Noah Pransky that stood up to Shady Grady on the illegal stings here) regarding employment and housing for registrants, this is unreal! "Protect the children" they say..well how can registrants feed and house they're children/family while being pushed away!

Samantha Manning has been featured on the Shiitake Awards once before, back when she worked in El Paso. This seems to be her favorite subject.

It is not uncommon for Shiitake Award nominees to be recidivists, just not as often for reporters as pols.

After reading this all I could ask is why should he lose his job. He was a good employee no complaints. He had to have worked with dozens of people and no one knew he was on registered or they didn't care. It's not like he could hide it. Or could it be possible that most people don't check the registration list even though millions of dollars are being spent to maintain it.

I will write a letter because he worked to better his life and a mystery person calls a news station. I find this upsetting.

A concerned viewer my a**. Someone got mad at him for whatever stupid reason and decided to cause trouble. My heart goes out to this man. I hope he is able to get past this and get another job. The reporter should have done his homework instead of feeding into the mass hysteria. He should have looked to see if there have been any issues with this man and when he did not find any, he should have left him alone.
In my job (I run a government funded apartment complex), we are required to do a SO registry and criminal history check on all applicants before they are allowed to move in. (YES, I do feel like a hypocrite especially when it comes to the SO registry). They also run the same background checks on employees. One of my tenants has a brother who was a convicted SO over 10 years ago and is still on the registry. One of the other tenants found out about him and alerted me and informed me that he has to be banned from the property. This man has done nothing wrong while visiting that I am aware of, he does not live there, he has not applied to live there, so I got to tell the complaining tenant that unless he breaks the law and is convicted in a court of law, I cannot ban him from the property.

I just wish the reporter would use some common sense. Maybe do some research and see studies link CP with contact crimes? Look at recidivism rates of CP offenders with a second conviction for a contact crime.

This guy has a very low risk for recidivism, he had a decent job where he wasn't being a drain on the tax payers dime, and this nimwit gets him fired. She is just a terrible human being. She thinks she is making it safer, but RSOs in general are safer when they gave dynamic factors in their favor. Friends and family that love and care about them, a good place to live, a job that allows them to pay the bills etc. Anything that takes away from this is no question increasing the chance of recidivism not reducing it. That is why I say I am so impressed that the recidivism rate is so low, because we have a government and media hell bent on making RSOs life a living hell. Which ironically makes them more not less likely to recidivate. And the lunacy continues.

She goes to the home of this RSO and starts talking thru the door. It looks like he has something to hide but really, probably just wants to be left alone. So dramatic. Most people would see that in a different way than we do.

I Wonder does this constitute harassment. On the PA website it states that you can not use this site harass and going to his home and his employer seems like harassment to me.

Ignorant people do this, then have the gall to complain if the person's family needs food stamps or other assistance to survive. SMH!
