So I was sentenced to federal time, 90 months, did I, got out in 2014, did my halfway house and now I've been in SC for almost 2 whole years. Actually hasn't been too bad until lately (that's a whole other story of heartache) which has led me back to reviewing my paperwork and researching online. Specifically matters of relief from the registry.
I've found some good documents detailing such, state by state, and although I think these change often, it's good to have a starting point to go from.
This one is from May '15 according to the article:

This one is a lot longer and says it's current as of August 09 but it's got a lot more info:

If anyone knows of anything along the same lines that's more recent, perhaps within the last year or so, please let me know.
I'm curious because it looks like my federal release paperwork does not have the box checked under the section of Supervised Release next to the paragraph relating to complying with the requirements of SORNA 42 U.S.C. sec.16901 and only dictates that "defendant shall comply with any sex offender laws of any state in which he resides, is employed, carries on a vocation, or is a student" under the section labeled Special Conditions of Supervision. Which leads me to wonder if I should consult a lawyer about the implications of this.
Additionally, looking at my release paperwork (from prison to the halfway house) in the section marked: Supervision to follow release, the box is checked NO. Have I been on supervision all this time when I could have loop holed out of this?
Probably not, but I thought it was odd.

I have found the Megan's Law section of the Klaas Kids site to be fairly current on the laws. Each state has a specific page.

I noticed it was last updated in August 2015.
Here is a link to a pdf that gives an overview of the registration requirements for all 50 states on one large page, but I am not sure how current it is. Once you download it, you will have to zoom in to be able to read it. This information came from the CaliforniaRSOL site.

If I really want to know the exact requirements and laws of a specific state, I read the state statutes dealing with registration and it laws.

This link will take you to a Sex Offender Enactment Database. This database identifies key state sex offender legislation enacted 2008 through mid-2015.
If you become familiar with the site, you can search for laws passed during this period of time. Read the information on the site page. Once you get the hang of how to use the site, it can be very useful.
