No, I do not update nor register at all.
The only problem is if you are removed from the registry in one state and move to another state and establish residency there, according to the SORNA guidelines, you will have to begin registering all over again in the new state since you have engaged in interstate commerce. I am in Oklahoma and I am staying in Oklahoma so I do not have to register again in another state.

BTW, in Pennsylvania they did the same thing as they did in Oklahoma by increasing the duration and frequency of the registration scheme for those registrants that were convicted before the tier levels were enacted. I don't know if those in Pennsylvania have sued the state as Mr. Starkey did in Oklahoma, but it might be something worthwhile to look into.

BUT, In the link below, if you read far enough, you will see this text-----" Failure by states to implement SORNA does not relieve individuals subject to act of their obligation to register under SORNA."

Scroll about one-fifth the way down the page.

Given your last link and information it sounds as though a person would have to continue to register even though they have no obligation within the state. For example, the state says for a Tier 1 you can be removed after 5 years, but the SORNA states that it is 15. How would a person continue to register when they are off their state registration?
I can see that most people would not even consider a conflict between the state and federal and follow whatever the state is implementing.
Moving to another state is a whole different issue. :)
This like this always makes me feel rebellious. I want to go find obscure laws and break them, just to see what'll happen.
What I can't believe after reading the links in the comments section that the police can use this ignorance crap as an excuse to say they didn't know they were violating someones' civil rights. We have some former LE on here and folks that have worked closely with them on here. What is their opinions on this 'cop out' that the cops can use to justify their behavior? Is it ignorance or is it just a get out of jail free card?
