I moved to Philly in hope that my son would be able to follow me here. I took a chance. As he lived in Florida and is there now in Coleman Low. He signed his release papers today and on those papers was my name as the one picking him up in 29 days and his address here in Philly. It's been a stressful couple of years. he's coming home soon. He sounded good.
Now to the 15 years probation and lifetime on the sex offender list. and so it continues.

That's great at least you know he can live with you now and you have that date!

He says he wants to pig out on some really bad fast and junk food for the 1st week. He's very good at exercise an a strict diet but he's looking forward to McDonalds and Papa John's pizza. The food here in Philly is top notch but he says even McDonalds is gourmet compared to what he gets in there. I haven't seen him for over 2 years... can't wait.

I used to live in Florida but we all know how bad it is down there. I looked all over and seemed that Philly had some perks. There are no residency restrictions. And, since it's a city, I was hoping the cops would have other real criminals to deal with .. they're really low on funds an probation office is stretched thin. Also we live where he can walk anywhere to get anything he needs, food store, restaurants, my work. If I stayed in Florida he would be homeless with no job and life looked pretty bleak. Yes, we'll have stuff to deal with but at least it seems he might be able to live a more normal life.

Nak, I am so very happy for both you and your son.

I have to tell you that I have never seen a mother so dedicated, so relentless, and fighting for your son's cause as you have. He is a very lucky young man to have a loving mother such as you.

A son could not ask for a better mother than you have been.
