I'm sure some other members could weigh in in this if an attorney is helpful in determining civil commitment.
You said, "Why would anyone disagree with sex since it keeps people healthy and is human nature?" Then you went on to say, "When will people stop treating sex as something bad?"
In this country? Not for a long time and maybe never.
The extreme religious right wing faction was given far too much power in this country for the last 30 years. It has lost some of its sparkle, but at one time there was Jerry Fallwell, Jimmy Swaggert, and Pat Robertson who politicized religion and in doing so, became much like politicians themselves. The right wing, far right religious zealots, made sex an even more puritanical idea than it was before.
They made sex as if it was some sort of sickness or perverse behavior which of course, it is not.
These hucksters had an agenda and it sure was not God's agenda. Their movement, sometimes called The Evangelicals, took the Word of God and twisted it to support their moral crusades. Many times they would take one or two obscure passages out of the Bible to bolster their argument instead of using the Bible for what it was meant to be----a book of wisdom and the teachings of Jesus Christ about how we should love and treat each other.
Instead of loving each and every person, even the sinners as Jesus did, they hated almost everything: Gays, legal abortion, people in prison or with criminal records, etc. They did not even advocate for women's rights. This is also about the time that the "tough on crime" instead of being "smart on crime" mantra infected this country.
These religious right leaders were also very pro-death penalty, which did not make sense to me, as they always mentioned the "sanctucy" of God given life UNTIL---UNTIL---they wanted to put a needle in someone's arm to punish them for a crime they may or may not have created. Of course, an unbalanced portion of those on death row are minorities such as blacks. No problem, they hated black people also.
But they deplored sex. Their idea of sex was that sex was only meant for married couples---on a Saturday night---in the missionary position---to procreate.
They became a group of intolerance. They were not Christians, but instead a cult-like group of people advocating moral positions.
And a person could become a member of their cult only by sending a generous donation to their cause on a regular basis. In the days of Jesus, these monies were called tithes. The religious right used them for payments.
The had a unsatiable appetite for money and power.
Now before someone becomes discombobulated over my opinion, I am not referring to the many Christians and people of faith who attend services and practice their faith as set out in the Bible. They are the true believers in this country. I was referring to the flimflam men who once had so much clout in this country.
Just my opinion,
