I left my church because of judgement. So sorry....
Remind her, "Truly, what you did to the least of these brethren, you done to me." Matt. 25:40
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?'
And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'"
(Matthew 25.35-40 ESV)
I don't like people like that either. I had an old HS friend not show up to a reunion because he didn't wasn't to be confronted by others because he's gay. I tried to tell him that type of behavior would not be tolerated. Still he didn't go, and sort of glad he didn't bcz an old classmate went on a rant about his sexuality.
From Iraq: "Iraqiyun, estimated 128,000 deaths from the time of the invasion until July, 2005. ... 55 percent of those killed were women, and children aged 12 and under". Source: http://bit.ly/17WbJ8X
And please google that wikileaks video where children in a van are assaulted and gravely wounded from a helicopter miles away over 10 minutes or more. After a number of innocent civilians and those coming to their aid were murdered in cold blood. These pilots have never been charged or disciplined. This, and the people that rationalize this sort of thing, I have a hard time forgiving.
I am so tired of these people like the minister's wife. I hope you realize you do not need people like that in your life.
You don't need people like this.
If it was me who had received this email from this woman...this would be my reply to her...
" Dear Ms/Mrs. Whomever,"
Thank you for the time for you to respond back to me. I know it was difficult for you to write back on such a sensitive subject.
I understand your fear and the wanting to protect your children... but my question is: protect them from what??
In my son's case, he was convicted of viewing CP off the internet. He himself didn't take, produce or upload these pictures. I am guessing here, but I very positive you or your husband has NOT taking nude pictures of your darling children and put them up on the internet? Correct??
Also, you may be unaware, but in some states and jurisdictions, it CAN and most likely would be considered a sex offense if you or your husband take those innocent pics of your little ones bathing, and sending those innocent pictures to Grandma in another state...that would be ( and has been) a Federal offense, punishable by very long prison sentence, and being on the Sex Offender registry for Life ! How sad that would be for you & your husband!! I mean, I WOULD understand and be supportive, but you know exactly how people react when they are uninformed-- all those snickers and innuendos behind your backs, and all that phony baloney about " Oh..WE will pray for you..." the catch-all, un-Christian phrase that basically means " sorry for your luck, sinner...but please...go straight to hell". But, I digress-- I know in your heart you know its wrong to judge and be judged-- we ALL know who has THAT power, and believe me, I pray on a daily basis to Him who knows all, and most importantly, knows my heart, and my sons' heart.
Yes, he did break the law, and was punished for it. He has admitted his wrong, and is doing everything in his power to continue his life. He has had more than his share of mean, obnoxious, arrogant holier-than-thou people who don't know the meaning of forgiveness, because they don't live it like Jesus said we need to do. He didn't come to Earth to for the saints, He came for the sinners--the broken, the lame, the infirm, the hopeless, the prostitutes, the addicts, the drunks-- these are what He considers His people. They got this, and so did Jesus. Sadly, those who today profess with their tongue but do not practice with their heart & soul to help others to the cross---they MAY look the part on the outside, but their inner hearts are unmoved. But that's okay...Jesus knows exactly who these people are, and, now, with the revelations in your email, so do I.
Have a Blessed Day!!
Sincerely yours,
A True Follower in Christ
