For all the legal scholars here or just someone who is interested, here is a paper written by a young man from Princeton that deals with "Sex Offender Law and the Geography of Victimization."

Thank you Rew - of course have not read it fully but I did read the abstract and the last line caught my attention - not sure what this means exactly but I will read the paper eventually

"Surprisingly, for some categories of sex crime, notification appears to increase the relative risk of victimization in neighborhoods with greater concentrations of RSOs."

This could be a bad thing because what it seems to suggest is that clusters (which are naturally occurring becasue of living restrictions) increase re offense?

Since MD doesn't have residency restrictions, the clusters that you see on the map are close to Baltimore City ( which is separate from Baltimore County). You would naturally have more crime in those areas just because there's more people.
