It is this kind of thing that just absolutely poisons our movement for change and responsible sex offender legislation.

You can bet the farm that every headline across American describing this incident will include the words "Sex Offender."

I hope this does not lead to much backlash and so far I have not read about much outrage with the fact that he was a sex offender. I am hoping this story only stays in the media until the next crisis comes along.

I know this made me sick when I heard it - people only focus on the ones like this that they hear about - they never consider that there are thousands and thousands of sex offenders out there that they do not hear about

"Sex offender" is an attention grabber, I frequently see stories like, "Sex Offender arrested for DUI".."Sex Offender arrested for Robbery"..."Sex Offender arrested for this, that and the other thing"..Doesn't matter that they are not accused of a "Sex Crime"..Who are the two biggest WHORES on the Planet???? The Media and Politicians, "Sex Offender" equals Ratings, put SO in the Headline and people are going to gravitate to it. WE DO.. For different reasons than most, but we still do....Most of the time, Ratings equal Votes...Why else would the BIGGEST WHORES, the Politicians, waste their time talking to the Media???

On a similar, but side note, I'd like to ask our UK members....Is PM David Cameron up for reelection? He is sure going off on SO's and internet providers lately, advocating internet censorship.....
Also Congrats on your new future King.....I hope he serves his Country as his Father and Uncle have...HRH, Captain Harry Wales has given me respect for the Royal Family.(I met him a few years ago(Just a Handshake)...If only our "ROYALTY(sarcasm intended) served as selflessly as William and Harry are.

I agree with Coastie, if the media can attach "sex offender" to any crime, they know its an attention grabber, which help booster ratings. You never see "convicted sex offender pulls man out of burning building", "convicted sex offender pulled man out of car wreckage"... Or what ever Good Samaritan news story input there. They don't want to paint SO's in a positive light.
Oh, here's one for the headlines, "successful businessman and SO ..."

pathela . i dont know demonic spirits in the land . , devil time is short . thank GOD !! pray for the state and that for fairness to prevail for the ones who are staying out of trouble , have changed and living right . these cases are not about every sex offender , not all sex offenders would do such horrible sick stuff like that . people can change for the better , pray the media will stop painting all sex offenders as monsters , im sick of it , and that people will come to CHRIST and change , .pray for the people to be saved .
