This is a post from another forum from Rew's son:
Hello,
This is Ralph's son, Chris. I just wanted to pass along to the forum that my dad passed away last Wednesday, 10/23/19, shortly after noon. He was laid to rest this past Friday, 10/25/19. I wanted to let the forum know since my dad was very involved in this forum. I heard him speak about the forum often, but we didn't go into too much detail about it. I didn't think I would find the correct board, but a few days ago I found this forum and noticed some of his posts/replies were on here. I wasn't sure if I would be able to login, but dad shared some of his usernames and passwords for other things so I thought I would try something similar here, and it worked.
I know my dad made a post on here in early April talking about his cancer. Dad made it almost 7 months since his diagnosis on April 1st of this year. The first 4-5 months weren't too bad, but he began to rapidly go downhill over the last 2 months or so. He passed away in the hospital after being admitted 13 days earlier. His death was sudden and not expected this soon, but it was very likely he only had a few weeks to a couple months left anyway. The plan was for him to discharge back to home on hospice, but something happened suddenly in the hospital and now he is gone. I know it's a "cliché" to say at least somebody isn't suffering anymore, but you don't really completely understand this until you see a loved one suffer so much over the course of 2-3 months. I know dad didn't want to go on hospice, knowing that the end was very near. I know he didn't want me and other family members to suffer anymore either or witness his decline until his death, so I'm must thankful his pain and suffering is now over with.
I would give anything not to break this news to the board, but I know how much this board meant to my dad and wanted to let everybody know. After reading through some of his inbox messages and threads, it makes me so happy to know that dad was able to help so many people over the years on this forum.

Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

waxed and did not know he had cancer. He was a blessing to SO many people. He will be sorely missed. Again, I am so sorry to learn this news.
