Not every public demonstration has to be a big event planned out months in advance. Sadly, despite me proving time and time again public demonstrations are not prerequisites to vigilante violence or mass arrests, people still fear attending such an event.

We had the rally at the worst possible venue -- in Florida, protesting a "victim advocate," in view of the governor and apparently the entire legislature -- and we came away unscathed and it was the other side who was in retreat.

Tom and I have both engaged in one-man demonstrations. At the worst, you may get flipped off by some clown who has to do it while driving by, but I have yet to be assaulted or arrested just for holding up signs.

I don't know if I'll ever go back to Tallahassee, because the Book event isn't as big an event as I thought it would be, but maybe next time we could have a demonstration at the SMART Office.

I was thinking to stretch it out two days, one days at the SMART Office and the next day at the NCMEC.
