I read about the Vigilator attacking a RSO and his girlfriend with a gun. Crazy!
I agree...there needs to be someone who is not in any way connected with a sex offense...not a SO, or loved one of a SO or victim, or a victim of a SO.
I did hear some voices leaning toward reason on the whole subject, though.

2. Dr. Drew must have one of those mail order doctorates because no one else would claim to be a "doctor" then go on TV and behave so scandalously unethical. They would lose their license.
3. Sorry, Derek, but anyone dumb enough to go on that show thinking they are carrying a sincere message to this world perhaps deserves the ridicule they get. Why? Because if you watch the program even once, you know that that is what it is about...not real issues...or respect.
4. I think Dr. Phil is actually doing some good work these days. It might be interesting to see if he would address SO family issues.
I agree,
buildingupslow,
Also the statement that was made that the contact with the child was consensual did way more damage than good.
The word groomed could have been used, that yes it was wrong and in no way was the victim at fault. It seems that to rationalize it as consensual is really being in denial almost like saying there was nothing wrong with the crime.
It also could be that under pressures he was not able to think things out since the focus did shift in his direction.
I cannot say either way, but for the record and a RSO, there is never Consensual sex between a child and an adult.
This is not an attack on anyone, but where I come from we say what is on our mind, if it offends some, well sorry.
The movement will move forward, but it has to in a positive way, this turned me off, just think what others thought.

Don't hold your breath waiting for that. No one gives two shits about you people but other RSOs.
I can see a lot of you hold fast to the BS society feeds us. Well I don't feel the need to justify myself to certain people.
Wouldn't that be dandy. So would having back the 29 inch waist that I used to have. Both ain't gonna happen. This site is crawling with people peripherally connected to the issue. Where were they?
Can't be helped unless you are willing to help yourself.
"1. Children cannot consent to sex. Ever!"
What planet do you live on? Given that 12 states (inc. CA and TX - population 58 million alone) consider a person under 18, and 9 states (inc. TX and NY - population 46 million alone) consider a person under 17 a "Child" in these matters, I cannot believe I am reading this statement, on this site, no less. By more than one commenter.
Are you saying that this relationship was really not consensual and he deserves his lifelong punishment? http://www.marieclaire.com/world-reports/news/teen-sex-offender
Or the Kaitlyn girl in Florida? And lacking consent, it was really then, by definition, rape? Aggravated, to boot?
I have never read a bigger crock. So we allow "children" to work, drive cars, but they cannot get it on with a person 18 or over, when they are fully willing? Lets not forget prosecuting minors as adults. Here is a good one.
http://www.pe.com/local-news/riverside-county/temecula/temecula-headlines-index/20130607-temecula-father-daughter-to-stand-trial-in-vigilante-attack.ece
Girl being a victim of Child Sexual Abuse (Sodomy with a Minor is a statutory / age based charge strictly) and being prosecuted for attempted murder as an adult. All at 15 years of age. Brilliant.
Back to the comment. To pretend that "legal" children do not ever know what they are doing is preposterous. To consider them innocent and mindless, by definition, is ridiculous. Until the definition of "Child" is changed I stand by this statement as an absolute.
I do not know Mr. Logue or anything about him or his case. Was the phrasing unfortunate? Perhaps. I have no idea. Sexual contact can be as little as one touch over clothing.
That show went horribly off course - Dr. Drew is a pathetic media whore. He made zero attempt to stick to the topic at hand.
But at least Mr. Logue was there. If not you, who? If not now, when?
The planted I live on is earth, there is a difference between consensual and grooming a small child.
I will not butt heads, because I know I am right.
Yes he was there, yes I know who this man is, I also respect the work he does, but consensual sex with a 11 year old, what planet are you on?
Here is the problem within the movement, there are some real crazy SOs that are a danger to the public, then the rest suffer, yes there are many that should never have been placed on the registry, but choose your words when you speak with the media.
One thing than gets me up tight is when people make excuses,, I have kids, and I want to protect them also, do not say to me that sex with a 11 year old is consensual, because I promise you will not be standing when you say that to me.
He did NOT say "consensual sex" with an 11-year old. He said "contact". As I pointed "sexual contact" can be a touch over clothing pretty much anywhere.
To automatically assume that he had *sex* with an 11 year old and to state that sexual contact with a "child" is *never* consensual is the fire that fuels this environment and the laws it produces.
So maybe the board is not a good place to visit after a hard group, I mean no disrespect to you, I just cannot relate to some that would hurt children, then brush it off as consensual.
