Oklahoma sex offenders must be like chameleons who can change their appearance and color almost at will.
There is a new bill before the Oklahoma legislature that would require registered citizens who are mandated to register every 90 days to have a photo taken every time they register. That would be a photo session four times a year.

Ha! Ha! They must think that sex offenders can change their appearance so easily--and at will--- that a picture four times a year is badly needed. I don't know anyone whose physical description via a photograph would change enough every 90 days to make this bill any more than total waste of money.
Some states may already do this, but it is still just stupid.
I would think a photo once a year would be sufficient.
In this state, we pay teachers next to nothing, child care is under funded, the roads are being patched constantly, many of the people here are poor and on food stamps or welfare assistance, education is last on the list of priorities, and I can give other examples attesting to the incredible incompetence of the lawmakers in this state to address the real issues.
Yet they try to pass a bill that is worthless and will only cost the state more money.
We are constantly 45th or 46th among all states in things like education or medical care and anywhere from 1st to 5th or 6th on issues like the number of people in prison.
Actually this state is just a cesspool of ignorance and anyone who attempts to do something worthwhile in this state is like a voice in the wilderness---they will never be heard. What a bunch of hillbillies and country hicks.

@LillyMom----there is too much money to be made by too many people for anyone to have an incentive to reign in this monster we call the sex offender registry.
@Peekachu---Yep, they don't give a damn about our children in this state. If they cared, they would have a better education system and better health care available for the children in low income households.
The old saying "if it saves one child" is nothing more than a Red Herring to get these damn bills passed.
