Is there a possibility that the jury got it right? There are a lot of things that were proving, liar, slut, selfish, perhaps crazy...... a baby is dead.... somebody did it. They sure didnt prove casey did it. Finally a just verdict !! Look at the team of people trying to send her to death row.

So, now, lets find who really did it!

Do people actually believe that prosecutors do not fabricate cases against people? Why is it when jury says guilty the people cheer and gather for the linching at town square? Why when its Not Guilty people scream fowl play.

i will not be popular either but I think that casey knows what happened to that child. The part about not reporting this child missing for so long just does not make sense to me...I AM a mother and I would have been freaking out within minutes not almost a month! I agree the smell test just does not fit.......the sad thing is that this little innocent girl is dead. To me it just seems that if you have the money to get a lawyer you can win your case......something that never seems to happen with SOs, Her mother will have to live with this for the rest of her life, along with her family......it is a shame.

As A father and a grandfather i know if ANYTHING were to happen to my kids i would report it.my 2nd oldest son was about 2 when we lived in this house his brother was at his grandmothers for the night they slept in the same bed anyway we were going to bed i went to brush my teeth it was summer time something told me to go and check on my son when i did all i saw was a wall of flames the fan had a short in it i guess and it started a fire right were my other son would have been sleeping.my son was laying on the bed fire was creeping towards him i didn't even stop and think i rushed in grabbed my son and ran out of the room did i feel fear? no i was more scared for my child's safety .and my youngest son his mother just up and left when he was 5 i did not go out and party i raised my son i was there for him the whole time. I now have 4 grand daughters IF anything were to happen to them whoever would do anything to them they better pray to god that the police get to them before i do..........................peace out and god bless

I don't see why she had to lie about so many things if she wasn't trying to cover up something. 1st, if her daughter did drown she shouldn't have hidden it. Children drown everyday..it's a sad truth but it happens. & if her daughter really did drown what was the use for the duct tape? 2nd, being sexually molested is no excuse to go murdering your child! I think it was an excuse. 3rd, if her daughter went missing for real you're suppose to report it w/in 24hrs not 30 days! I'd be out there looking for my baby and would have never stopped to (my 4th reason) party and join "hot body contest". There would be NO ROOM for FUN in a search for my child!

I don't blame the jury..they DID do their job, i just don't understand the conclusion. To charge her for lying to the cops but not seeing a real reason why she would lie. Doesn't add up.

& as for the "professional jury" comment..that's just BS. There are juries for a reason. They are suppose to be our peers not some "professional" that won't see from the eyes of a common person.

Also i'm keeping that girls lawyer in mind for the next terrible thing that might happen in life that would call for a lawyer. Just in case it WAS his professionalism that won the case...which i doubt.

To me i don't understand how a person who murdered their child can walk free but a sex offender can face such horrible laws and restrictions for life.

Before just saying she is guilty, put yourself back in the shoes you were wearing when you or your loved one was accused of their sexual assault crime... did you want people to just pass judgement or did you want them to look at the evidence and then make a decision about you and yours?

I am surprised that everyone on this thread was so willing to condemn a person before they read much of anything other than the propaganda that is spewed in the news.

I agree with winconsinrsol. The choice is to maybe let a few people go free that may be guilty or condem everyone because they might be guilty. Other country do not let trials like this be covered in the media. We have courts of law and rules of evidence. TV journalist do not need to try cases on public opinion and sensational reporting.

I actually watched most of the trial on the idiot box.(hell, there was nothing else on)

Casey was convicted of 4 counts of providing false info. to the Police....What did she lie about? And if she had NO knowledge of what happened to Caylee, What did she lie about?

Jose Baez got LUCKY! He pulled every dirty trick he could think of. That's ok, that is his job. Simply put, the Prosecution dropped the ball.

If you noticed at the reading of the Verdict that before the procedure was over, George and Cathy left the room. I don't blame them, Casey was trying to push all the blame on George.
He did it all. He, along with Lee, sexually abused her. George found Caylee drowned in the pool, and then HID the body?
George is an ex Cop, he would know that very minor, if ANY charges would be filed. WHY would try to hide the body?

It all comes back to the 4 counts of "false info." She lied! There is no explanation for her lies.

The case was nothing but "Curcumstantial" on both sides.

We all know that O.J was guilty as hell!

In both cases the Defense didn't WIN. The prosecution LOST.

No, I'm not sorry, I do have some law enforcement experience and a pretty good "gut" feeling.
There are 2 kinds of injustice. Not every SO is innocent or over charged or even persecuted. YEAH, I'm an RSO, but there are some out there that should be LOCKED UP forever and I can't believe you would disagree.
The other kind is aquitting those that are obviously, if not guilty, have a DIRECT knowledge of the truth.

I never said that she didn't lie... but what I have been seeing is that people are jumping on the bandwagon of that she killed her child. She was not convicted of that. And people that are in the positions that many of our loved ones or those that were the accused and convicted would like to be considered innocent until proven guilty.

OJ did a lot of things that made it far more obvious that he was guilty, but that is a different case altogether, and to me is like comparing apples to oranges.

As far as circumstantial on both sides, I can't say that I followed the case very closely not being in FL and subjected to it on the TV constantly. But if it was entirely circumstantial on both sides, to me does not make her guilty of murder.

I have to agree that not every SO is overcharged or innocent, because we already know that 90% of them will never be caught and they live not more than 10 feet from their victims bedroom doors, but that doesn't change the public 'sheep' mindset that when it hits the TV and gets national attention that the person is now guilty until proven innocent. The prosecution did not do their job, if she was guilty they should have proved that. The justice system that we all get so mad at because it is unfair at times to those that don't deserve it and just too soft at times when we believe that someone 'should get what's coming to them'.

To do the same makes us no better than the people we are trying to educate and inform about the realities of what is going on in our justice system.

Some RSOs should be locked up for the rest of their lives... There are some that have some real issues that can not be unlearned for them. Impulses that won't be squelched or redirected to something more productive. I don't believe that i have ever said anything to the contrary, but I do try to say that if we expect to be treated with fairness and respect in the end we have to start by doing the same.

I am not saying that anyone should be passive by any means, it is what got everyone into this mess by being shamed into not fighting at all and the shame being put on to the loved ones that could make meaningful change but don't because they fear they could loose their jobs, etc...

I feel terrible for the child that lost their life before they got to live it. But it isn't an excuse to form a lynching party, because we all have seen what can happen when those get some momentum.

To be honest we will never know what went down between Cathy, Caylee and George, and probably never will. And even if the truth does come out at some point, it will come from a biased source that we call our "unbiased media" and we will be spoon fed information for the sake of ratings not for the sake of informing the public.

I just don't want people like us that have lived the horror of accusations true or untrue, then try to get past it when the whole world is breathing down your neck. Of all people we should know not to jump to conclusions until all the evidence is reviewed and scrutinized.
