If they find anything illegal, will they then come knocking on my door and take him away? What can he take with him to jail? Extra warn clothes? Paper and pen?
He's been reading lots of web sites on how to cope in prison. It's all so utterly grim. We're crying less now, and are becoming more like zombies.
When your loved one was taken away, were you too sick to work for a day or two? I hate to go to work tomorrow and leave him here alone, for fear I might not see him again for a very long time.
This is absolutely the most horrible thing I've ever loved through.
I'm scared to go back and talk to my therapist, for fear I might say something that she would have to tell the police. I would love to talk this over with someone, but I'm deathly afraid of saying the wrong thing and making things worse.
Yes, honestwitness, we were all sick. I couldn't eat right or sleep for weeks, It's been almost two years and there are many nights still that I do not sleep. Or if I do, I have nightmares. But keep loving through it.
You will have my thoughts and prayers for the best possible outcome for your son and your family. Stay strong and keep coming here for support.
New complication. My son has told his wife he would rather die than go to prison.
What should I do?
My son was arrested for child porn, of which his girlf friend gave to him! He is now in DOC (prison) He was 17 at the time of his charges! Talk about being scared to death! I was! I can honestly tell you that fear of the unknown is the worst! But believe me, it was bad, but not at all what I had thought or dreamt about. The prison that he is at house nothing but SO's. I am SO thankful for that! Most states are now moving towards keeping SO's segregated.
When he is arrested, he will not be able to take anything with him. They will provide paper and pens for him. You will have to find out how you can get money on a commissary for him. This is something I knew nothing about, but the inmates in jail and prison can buy stamps, paper, deodorant, shoes, envelopes and razors. There is a lot of things they can purchase. Just call where he is and they will fill you in on how to get commissary money and phone call money on an account for him.
Please tell him that things aren't as bad as his mind can conjure up! My son is doing just fine, I went today and had a visit with him :)
Take Care hun! Hugs to you,
Kim RWsMom
I just found this board but I'm active in the movement to reform these ridiculous laws. There are many support groups around, depending on your state.
God bless.
