Hello. I am new to this site. My dad was just sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for child pornography charges. I am a young adult, looking to make friends with others in similar situations. I have close friends who know, but I feel like no one really understands and just takes pity for our family.

Hi ,my son received 15 years for cp. I know how sad you must feel, his daughter will be a young adult when he is released . This devistates the whole family , I love him because ,that isn't who he is ,it's something he did ,it becomes a addiction , I'm here if you need to talk. Susieduty

I'm also a young adult dating someone who's an RSO - I've been going through this process with him from the beginning practically. I'm looking for friendship too! I'm afraid to make friends that they will find out and reject me.

I realize that everyone of you are lost, confused, hurt, bewildered, and unsure of the future. Many of you are frankly, scared to death. Many of you have questions about the criminal justice system and these investigation. Some of you may just need someone to talk to.

I don't usually post at this board, but I have been working in support for inmates, sex offenders, and their families for almost two decades. I, myself, was in prison for eight years on a bogus charge and spent 13 years on the registry.

If any of you need me for anything, just message me. I check the board a few times a day and I will be happy to help you in any way I can.

Trust me, I DO understand what each and every one of you are going through.

No question or concern is too insignificant for you and I to discuss.

The thing is that this early in the ball game, it is important not to loose hope in the situation. First thing that needs to be done is finding an attorney that is experienced in appellate law. The FBI loves to screw up with these things in ways that are sometimes difficult for trial counsel to put their finger on. That said, its also NOT the end of the world. It is important that you use the experience to try to help solve problems, as opposed to becoming bitter, which solves nothing.
