Thanks for everyone's support. We're still in this battle so I'm not going away any time soon.

You have truly been a wonderful, loving mother. I have to admire your dedication.
The wisest thing you did was to get the hell out of Florida and maintain a residence in a more tolerant state for your son to come home to.
I would strongly---very strongly---advise that any registrant attempt to find a way to move from that damn state. I realize that some have family ties there or a job and it might be problematic to move, but everyone should consider it.
They will continue to pass more and more draconian laws regarding sex offenders and you can bet that most of them will be retroactive. This means that every year, every legislative session, is a nightmare for registrants, as they have to hold their breath to see what new law is passed that will affect them, even if they were convicted years ago.
Take care, everyone.

He can appeal for removal after 9 or 10 years. Maybe it won't be 15.
We have a new lawyer we're going to see on Tuesday. Haven't hired anyone yet but we're shopping.
We thought we'd petition to get off probation next year. The probation officer said we could do that, as well as another lawyer I spoke with. The PO said he's sure it wouldn't cut it back but at least my son would have a paper trail and each time he tried it might help to show he was petitioning .
