Here we go again - one incident should spawn a whole law - the insanity of it all. I wish I could tell more about the case from the article because a few things really made me read between the lines of this one ....first of all it would be highly unlikely for a person convicted of CP and served their sentence to then commit a contact crime at work no less! And if they did and were convicted of it (as the article says) then they guy is certainly in prison. The part that stuck out to me though is the fact that she sued her landlord? Why? What purpose did that serve? It did not help her son at all. Also, I did not see that it said they outcome of that suit?

The other things that stuck out to me is that it would be very rare for the employer of an actual apartment complex to hire a RSO in FL - they will not even rent to them.

Well, as far as hiring an RSO, apparently no good deed goes unpunished?

And the problem of finding employment for any 'felon' attempting re-entry or even trying to support himself or herself....even if the conviction was minor, not a sex offense and was 30 years ago? What would happen if they added all the persons 'excluded from employment' to the unemployment statistics?
