I wonder if my son will ever get out of this place. I found a May, 2012 article that talks about Jackson and I can tell you that my son only has 3 years to serve and its not a good place for him to be. I have not heard from him since Monday and I know that it does not seem that long, but I get worried. In a place like that for my son 23 (maturity level 12-15) should not be in a Medium prison. No violence and he is not a bad person. It sickens me that this world has come to this. We are nothing but money for them. They don't care about anything. I read in this article that it costs Jackson $1.50 per day to feed the prisoners. How horrible!!

I am so ANGRY!!!!! I am HURT!!!!! I feel ALONE!!!! A lot of times I come to this site and I read your stories and I feel bad for you, but today, I am really hurting and I need some support.

I am sorry that he is still stuck in that place... I am glad that WI has not allowed the private prison industry to infiltrate our boarders...

I am surprised that the ACLU hasn't taken this subject up, considering that it affects all inmates...

As I have mentioned several times when we talked, I cannot imagine why a young man with only 3 years to serve is at a medium security prison.

We have private prisons here in Oklahoma and they are much worse than the state prisons.

Don't sit there and feel all alone. Message me and we can talk. I will be at my computer all day and evening for the next several days, as we are experiencing an ice storm right now.

Wisconsin, its all about the money. The New Orleans Parish and Jefferson Parish and Covington jails are over crowded so they send them off. The DOC has not even seen my son yet. I just don't get it.

Always wanted to visit LA - UNTIL this struck my family. I'm going to keep my tourist $$$ out of there and FL! My heart goes out to you.

Thanks Lilly. The funny thing about all this is that when Mardi Gras comes, they overlook a bunch of things. They want the tourist here. Women showing their boobs, men urinating in the street, etc. I hate Mardi Gras! So when the parades start, I go the opposite way and on Mardi Gras day, I stay home or go shopping or something. This City is really a fun City, but now with this, I don't want to really go anywhere here anymore.
