I'm sorry to hear that you're going through a similar situation. It really sucks playing the "what if" game in your head. I try not to. I just need time to pass so I can see what evidence there is if any and know what the heck is going on :(
Let me try to clarify some things here so you will understand what is going on.
You said, “My husband who I have known since 2009 was arrested with allegations to exposing himself to a child when he was drunk at an event.”
If he was drunk, then that will be a mitigating factor in the crime. An indecent exposure charge is less serious if the person was drunk rather than being sober and knowing what he was doing.
You said, “In jail they found out what he was in there for and he started to fear for his life. He attempted suicide with a sharper ring they had left on him because they couldn't take it off.”
After he leaves the psych ward, he will be placed in a protective custody area and segregated from the rest of the inmates, so he will be safe. I would not be too concerned with his safety at this time, especially with him going to protective custody. Many jails routinely separate the sex offenders from the general population as a matter of security.
You said, “I on the other hand have no idea what to do or what's going on. He hasn't been convicted. We have court dates coming up. I've lost 10 lbs in two weeks. I can't eat and have a constant pain in my chest.”
Has he been arraigned yet? The first official court hearing he will have is called arraignment. At the arraignment, he will be appointed a public defender, bail will be discussed, and he will plead “not guilty.”

Do you have someone to talk to? A therapist or another medical professional? If not, you need to talk to them and bring your fears to the forefront so you can deal with them. You may also benefit from a minor antidepressant or anti-anxiety to help you cope with the stress at this time.
Your health is important. Your husband will need help and you will be no help if you are mentally incapacitated. So for your mental health, as well as your husband’s you need to seek out someone in the medical field who can help you deal with your emotions.
The modern antidepressants are usually effective with very few side effects, so I think they will help take the edge off this situation. Also, a couple of widely used antidepressants can be bought at the Wal Mart pharmacy on their $4 plan. You can get a 30 days’ supply for $4 or a 90 days’ supply for $10, so the cost should not be a factor.
If you have any more questions, you can always message me. Btw, I am a guy.

Thank you for replying.
He was so drunk he was throwing up all night in jail when they took him.
We were at a wedding. Free booze.
We had arraignment two days after the incident but our lawyer continued arraignment to give him more time to gather evidence and build a case. We did get a lawyer so I hope that helps.
I have been seeing a therapist and my sister in law got me CBD oil to help with anxiety. It also makes it so I can eat a little. And I started taking vitamins. I'm not sure what's going to happen but you're right, he will need me when he comes home and I need to be healthy so I can help him. I know it won't be all butterflies and rainbows either. It will be hard for us both but he knows we will both need therapy to cope with it all.
PS "BTW I'm a guy" I was kinda hoping you were the adorable pup on your profile picture lol
Today has been an okay day. Thank you again for your insight. It means a lot.
