Hi, yea, it has been a while since i posted but the stimulating conversations these days do keep me coming back to see what is going on. I was telling a friend of mine how much this board has changed and really becoming a good place to get solid information and respectful opinions.

I have been very busy lately, internet has been sporadic. Relocated my job and in the middle (literally, like tomorrow packing the truck up) and moving where I will be able to become more active in social and political issues. I have not found a place to live yet, but once I get settled I will find the time to keep in touch with everyone again.

My son should be getting out within the next year if I can get it together, I think the move will be good for him as well and he is looking forward to the change and new start.

Move to the NE, more progressive up here with the so laws.

New England? hmmm....not sure how well I would do that far north, though I lived in Seattle, it was not that bad as far as winters went. I hope to be ready to move again in about five years or so, will keep New England in mind. Is it difficult to move out of state when on federal supervision? I know my son does not want to stay here for the rest of his life and would be up to relocating in the future.

from what i understand? when someone is released and register in a state, that states registry laws follow you and hold you to them. so how ever many years he is required to register in tx they will stay the same no matter what state he moves to. but i am not sure that, that holds true for each and every state. but you probably already know that.

Pennsylvania doesn't have residency, access, or proximity restrictions. However it is an AWA state. So, some good some bad...but bearable. And the weather isn't too bad. In case you wanted another option

If you move to PA, stick with the cities. Like everywhere else, rural areas have bodunk sheriffs. The Metro areas are okay. I've lived in Philly most of my life and love it.

Will think about it, just transfered to this area so this is me for a while, can't push my luck too much. Will keep Pa in mind for the future, always wanted to try the east coast for a change, seems like i would have some good company there too!
