Off Duty Cop Kidnaps Woman From Jail, Drives Her To His House ‘For Personal Relationship’
One of the kidnappers fellow officers stated: "You arrested her, you can do whatever the f*ck you want to do."

As a SO supporter i feel for his family and what they must be going through. He is someones son.
On the other hand i have said before that any LEO who committs any crime should be dealt with more harshly then the general public. I would be the first one to hang him in the public square! Thats if he is indeed guilty.
To take advantage of anyone by someone in authority is despicable. Whether it be LEO, military, school officials and even clergy.
Its a disgrace to women and our proffession. I hope he gets what he deserves. I will be watching this story.
way out - as for the LEO - many times those in charge feel the "officer" is in more danger in jail than out so
set a low, affordable bond.
Our son said that when he was in the county jail, people would bond out only to have more charges added and another warrant issued for their arrest. Captial punishment
it idea of letting someone off easily because of their position within the law or government is so totally and morally wrong.
what's really horrible is that this sh*t is just now hitting the fan...

Beginning with the War on Drugs, the citizens of this country--as a result of having the hell scared out of them by the media regarding drug offenders--- gave far too much power to law enforcement. As a result, they began to militarize and the first SWAT type teams were formed. The no knock raids and other nonsense was "needed" according to the government to protect the public against "these dope fiends" that were trying to ruin our country.
Law enforcement became an OCCUPYING force instead of trying to protect the community.
From there it went downhill until 9/11. After 9/11 and the Patriot Act, law enforcement in this country went into high gear.
It is only gotten worse since then---and will continue to spiral out of control into a monotony of stupidity---because the citizens demand protection from the government for any perceived real or imagined fear or threat they might feel. The Nanny state was born.
We are now in a quasi Police State. We have become the modern day USSR.
They don't have to worry about ruining the country anymore, as we are doing a fine job of wrecking this country all by ourselves.
The forfeiture clause in most states also gave law enforcement an incentive to arrest anybody and everybody they think is involved with drugs. It never hurt to have a "carrot and stick" approach to keep this nonsense going, and the police departments all across the country have gotten rich seizing assets from citizens.
Now they are using the forfeiture clause to seize property used in the commission of a sex offense.
And now, with all the mandatory reporting, they have passed laws to make snitches of all of us. One of the cardinal aspects of a totalitarian regime is to turn citizens against citizens, making snitching mandatory. financially and accomplishing nothing by putting thousands of low level drug offenders in prison, we had to find a new "war".
Now that the War on Drugs is winding down after practically ruining this nation and filling our prisons with low level offenders, we have finally found another "war" to replace the War on Drugs.
America is really good at "war." In fact, that seems to be the only thing we ARE good at.
We now have a new war---the War on Sex Offenders along with the War on Common Sense, the War on Critical Thinking and the War on the middle class.
God Bless America---you just gotta love it.
Just a complete mess.

I wish we could. I do say we have some discretion.
Its the do gooders out there that think they know whats best for everyone and want government involvement. They dont realize that the more involement government has the more their rights are diminished. We no longer can discipline our children in fear of being thrown in jail. I have seen this time and time again.
So as you can see when we have government looking through are windows because we essentially invited them we really cant bitch about it.
Why should i have to wear a seat belt? Why should i have to wear a helmet on my motorcycle? Whats it hurting anyone else? Thats right.....government knows better than me.
I am proud to be an american. I chose to live here. If i dont like it i can move. I still think an island in the tropics would fit more with my personality. Sometimes i am just unfit for human companionship!
I agree with you that the ordinary policeman on the beat is more of a pawn and that they are merely enforcing laws that are passed by our lawmakers.
BUT, I don't think the shoddy way they sometimes treat the American citizen----who pays their salaries via taxes----is necessary. We could do without the shooting the dog during a raid and molesting women at a traffic stop. I cannot find any law or any statute that allows the police to do that. And there are situations where they show little respect or regard for the citizens they claim to "protect and serve."
But as I have mentioned several times, it is not the ordinary policeman or policewoman on the beat that is the problem as they are generally respectful; it is the detectives that investigate crimes that is the problem; perjury, intimidating witnesses, disregarding evidence that might help the defendant or any of the other things that makes them rather sleazy is not uncommon.
You can see how slick some of these investigators are if you read some of the transcripts of officers testifying in court after one of these Internet sex stings are over, especially in the state of Florida. It takes an Act of Congress to pin these guys down and get them to be halfway truthful.
Westy, you said, " I am proud to be an american. I chose to live here. If i dont like it i can move. I still think an island in the tropics would fit more with my personality. Sometimes i am just unfit for human companionship!"
I am proud to be what America can be, but I am embarrassed and sad that this country has so many people incarcerated and that we still employ such barbaric acts as the death penalty. The sex offender registry with its perpetual punishment for not only the offender, but for his entire family, including the kids who have done nothing wrong is especially an affront to this country. The use of polygraphs also smacks of sheer stupidity.
"Lists" have no place in a democracy.
You said, "If I don't like it, I can move." Maybe you can, but it is much more difficult for a registrant to move out of the country.
Let me tell you a story that happened to me a couple of years ago regarding detectives. A rent house that my parents owned mysteriously burned to the ground early one morning. Actually not completely, but enough that it was a total loss. One room was still standing a little but the smell of gasoline was overpowering and a neighbor saw a car parked in the alley at the time of the attack. He had a good description of the car and he even watched the guy leave the car with a gasoline can in his hand and return in a hurry a few minutes later.
So the police investigated the crime. I was called over there but it took me about 30 minutes to get there as I live about 20 miles in a different town. I saw the damage and left, but when I was told the description of the car, the perpetrators were just who I thought they were and I told the police that.
The lead detective told my sister that they thought I set the fire. First, I was miles away when the damn thing was set, dad had moved in with me because of his poor health, and I am not an arsonist. Also my car does not fit the description of the one seen at the crime site.
BUT the police knew who set the fire since the arsonists car was at the scene of the crime.
I think they wanted to pin it on me because of my felony record.
So I was just laying and just waiting when the detective called me. Sure enough, I get a phone call from him. He says in a very pleasant voice, "Hey, Mr. REW, how are you doing today?? Weather sure is nice. I was calling to see if you could come down here and we could get this arson thing straightened up and close the case. There are only a few minor details I need to close this up."
I said, "You can't be serious. You KNOW who started that fire, but you just want me to come down there so you can pin it on me. No, thanks, Mr. Detective, I am making NO statement about this fire." He said, "Thank you," and hung up.
It is things like this that give the police a bad reputation.

Your story on the arson thing makes me think of what happened here. A week before SO was to move into a house it was torched. It was considered arson. I think i told you this story. Anyways do you think its being investigated like it should be? Not! Havent heard a peep since it happened.
I guess it dont make the headlines. Its like who cares. I do!
Anyways getting off subject here.
Good news is my neighbors son is coming home this week. He was convicted of rape and strangulation two years ago. Cant wait to see him! And so help me if i see any picketers i will.....cant say because it may be held against me!
Who became the biggest drug pushers during our war on drugs? the DEA - who lobbied to get the asset forfieture laws enacted - law enforcement as they saw this as a grand plan to help make money to further their "war on drugs".
Yes, in my years working with members of law enforcement and working for the courts I saw plenty of offices and detectives lie and under oath.
So, if we do not agree with what is happening in America and we voice our concerns -why are we always told "if you don't like it move to another country"? What happened to freedom of speech when someone disagrees with you?
Being naïve and stupid as I was before they educated me, I asked him once if the police would actually lie under oath, since I thought they had at least enough character to tell the truth.
He said, "REW, they will all lie if it helps their cause as long as they know they will never be caught. Any good criminal defense attorney can recite horror stories of dirty policeman.
They might me OK to go duck hunting with, but once you are the subject of a criminal investigation, they morph into rabid dogs and will say or do anything for a conviction.
Some people might not want to hear that, but it is the truth; it is reality.
rewdiazepam
And Rew...its not about me not wanting to hear the truth! I only say what i see. I dont make stuffup or go by whats in the news.
And talk about dirty? I will tell you stories about public defenders that will make you think twice about them defending you. Do you think they are your friends? They get a paycheck just like the rest of us.
What about freedom of speech as you say? What is your price for freedom? Does it come free? Think about it!
You said, " In addition with over 10 years of being in a courtroom everyday i do not see LE lying."
You can't be serious. You just CANNOT be serious. You have never seen LE lie?????????
Westy, this is not about you or the good people who keep us safe.
But you can honestly sit there and type that "with over 10 years of being in a courtroom everyday I do not see LE lying." Gee whiz.
If that is the case, you were not looking very hard.
And Westy, my remark about "not wanting to hear the truth was not directed at you." I am surprised you might have thought it was. We have an understanding and you know how I feel---policeman like you are not the problem and I respect you. We have discussed this several times in PMs.
That remark was directed toward anyone who is naïve and does not want to hear the truth of the dark side of our criminal justice system, the people who still cling to the notion that detectives are always "good guys."
They are not. They can be ruthless. They are not nice people.
This "good guy" approach is what gets people like us in real trouble. If policeman were there to really help us, then talking to them might be a good idea, but it is common knowledge that they twist everything we say to make us look like a monster.
That is not lying?
I am not going to lie to the dear people on this board by saying policeman don't lie because I have seen it. I don't want them to get the impression that there is no reason to be careful around law enforcement.
Innocent people have been known to go to prison because of the lies.
I also used to work in the law library and help the inmates with their cases at night after my tutoring job and some of the court transcripts when the detectives testified were just full of inaccuracies---translation lies.
Seriously though, you have never seen a law enforcement officer lying under oath?????
It is a known fact that some of the DNA exonerations are the result of police conduct. Read what Barry Scheck has to say.
As far as the public defenders, no, they do not generally do a very good job, but that is not because they commit perjury. Some do not care and are very overworked and are paid very little since funding for the indigent system defense is next to nothing.
Freedom of speech comes at a price but that price to pay should not be excusing bad behavior by law enforcement---or by anyone else.
I have also seen in many instances that a member of law enforcement gets on TV or before the media and says that more laws are needed to help them in the fight against child predators. They always say we need one more "tool" in the fight against these people. No, they do not directly affect the legislative process, but they push it along.
Westy, I like you and I respect you, but we are just going to have to agree to disagree about LE lying.
rewdiazepma
I have to let this go. It has taken so much out of me. Its time to let it go. You have no idea.
