I flew down to Floriduh and drove home, him and me.. took 2 days. We talked a lot . He's never been out of FL and the drive home thru the rolling hills and snow , as well as his new freedom after 26 months in Federal was a culture shock for him.. And now we live in Philly.. he doesn't like It here.. . yet. He didn't like being around people before he went in and now, with all the crap he had to deal with on the inside, he's going to need time to adjust to a new place and a new freedom.
He's really stressed about tomorrow. 8:30 probation office and sex offender registration. . .

thanks. He's in good spirits considering the phobias . He's also been eating everything he's dreamt about. His friend calls him from prison. I'm hoping his probation officer doesn't say he can't get calls from his friend who's still incarcerated. He also has a friend who will be getting out in a week and moving to NJ and they have plans to get together for a beer.
If they could just get out of prison and allowed to live a regular life it wouldn't be so bad. So we'll just see what they won't let him do and try to deal with it.

It is great that he is finally home. It is a little cold there now but the summer and fall weather will be a lot better. The warm states have crazy ideas. AZ has lifetime probation which is terrible! My husband is not allowed to have contact with other felons. I think that is just a condition of probation nor registration. Enjoy!

I think my son is not allowed to have contact with other felons as well. But these are his friends for life. I just don't see how they can deny him that.
Hi friend who's going to NJ, is young as well and also have lifetime probation. That's crazy.

That's great that his home I hope he can adjust ok!
Be careful with the whole talking to his mates that have or are doing time if its part of his conditions they can put him back in...crazy yes but its something you guys have in common to down hear.

yes, I'm concerned he will not be allowed to talk to his friends. They were his support and he has gone thru so much that cutting them off would be tough for him.

My husband also had serious issues about being around people when he got out, but he's been getting better over time. Now it's just big groups rather than ANYONE lol. Best wishes.

It would be though on them too......maybe you could act as a bit of a go between for them for a bit just to see how things go?

hope all goes well tomorrow and his fears are quelled. mostly it is the not knowing what to expect. once that is over maybe he can breath a little. will be thinking of him, though I know he will do fine.
