To answer an earlier question, I'm not crazy about some recent decisions made by the CA-RSOL leadership, especially in regards to the support of a registry and especially the choices they made regarding the Carson rally. Holding it on a Saturday, ESPECIALLY on the 50th Anniversary of the Selma march, ensured coverage of the event would be minimal. Furthermore, apparently some rally attendees didn't want their faces out there so all we have for coverage of the event is a few pics and the audio from the evening news. It could have been way better. I'm still glad they held one and all but it could have been better.
The Rally in Tally sill needs funds, but we also need PEOPLE. The Rally in Tally isn't going to be on a day when the pols are on the golf course. What is the point of having speeches for people if they aren't there to hear the message? Maybe the fact we are going to be taking the message directly to the people scares some of you, but from what I heard, the invitation to the Carson city council was made at the CA-RSOL rally and they didn't show up. This time they can't dodge us. Governor Rick Scott, the Lt. Gov, the AG, some legislators, and the Books were at last year's Lauren book event at the state house. Now THIS has the potential to be big.
The one good thing about the CA-RSOL rally was you can see no one was attacked, so expect to go to FloriDUH, do your thing, and leave without getting hurt. But, we want people to remember if you attend this is a PUBLIC event. Videos and pics will be taken. i'm not going to post video just to have someone complain later to be removed from videos and pictures. So please, if you show up, we will ask you to sign a waiver for the videos.
I'm sure some will be unhappy with my words but I only have an interest in those bold enough to take our activism to the next level. I want people brave enough to stand face to face with those who would do us harm, to stand alongside me in Tallahassee. Who among you are truly that in which I seek?
