The Posse Comitatus Act prohibits the military from enforcing civilian law EXCEPT for the US Coast Guard who are not under DOD but instead under DHS.

Some think any decision will hinge on whether the ad that was placed seeking opinions on which branch of the military to join has a strong enough military connection to not be restricted by the Posse Comitatus Act. It may be splitting hairs but personally I think since the ad was about joining it shifts it to the "pre-military" side of things and isn't a strong enough nexus but we shall see.

I also think there's a good chance the judge will toss the case on other grounds avoiding the Posse Comitatus issue completely
