1. This RSO is acting terribly unintelligent. Why would you go to a school? You know they are looking for you to mess up. You know they have people watching for RSO's, why would you do this?
2. The second stupid part is the media and the general public. Look at this guys crime, he wasn't off fondling pre-pubscents, he had a sexual relationship at 20 with a 15 year old. Again, not the smartest thing you can do, but he is not molesting seven year olds. Having consensual sex with a sexually mature teenager is not good but that doesn't mean he was waiting in the bushes to grab a 7 year old. How can people believe this stuff?
Again he is asking for trouble going to a school even if he has kids there, but I don't buy he was there to find new targets. Even if he was, how is having consenual sex with a 15 year old while being 20 yourself be any indication of such pedophillic behavior?

It seems to me that a bigger threat to students are the teachers, the gym teachers, the girls' basketball coach, the cheerleader sponsors, etc. who either sexually assault students or have some type of underage relationship with a student than a guy who once had sex with a 14 or 15 year old.
Did you notice the first two words in the headline? That's right----Sex Offender. We all know why and we all know there is a reason for that. Spicy stories sell more papers and any story with the mention of the word sex offender in the title is sure to grab everyone's attention.
Stories like this further demonizes sex offenders and instills more fear in the public's mind. Then the populace clamors for more laws to be passed to protect their children, which politicians are all to willing to do. More legislation causes more restrictions for sex offenders.
And it goes on and on and on.
It is an old, tired, worn out game, but it works every time.
