Would like to visit my daughters ex this week. After last weeks visit would like to see him again. Make sure he is ok and not have an alternatative agenda.

My dilemma is that i am so busy. Still got another week off of work but so far behind in painting/repairs of my house. Just want it done. Need to get my house ready to sell. As you all know 2 steps forward 3 behind.

So how do i justify taking one whole day to visit him? Feeling pressured to get sh..t done but yet also feel compelled to visit him. My time here is short before i move cross country then wont see him at all. Although the day he walks out of prison in 10 years i will be there.

I know how you will respond. I think i just answered myself. Life is too short. Sometimes we get so hooked into sh..t that eally does not matter. Life is about family and friends.

Go see him. I know you want to see him again anyway.

There are only a few things in life that cannot wait a day to do. He is in a terrible set of circumstances in a foreign environment, plus he was just rejected by the woman he loves. Rejection is difficult under the most favorable circumstances, but in prison it is devastating.

Here is how I look at it------Five years down the road you will never miss that one day you took to visit him.

It is sort of like when I take my lady friend out to eat. I am a very generous tipper because I admire the waiters or waitresses who are willing to work and have a hard job.

My lady friend often says, "That is too much to leave for a tip."

I then tell her that in two or three years I will never miss that ten dollars, but it might just buy some food or baby milk for the young lady. The waitresses need that ten dollars much more than I do; I have enough to live on and buy my pets treats. That is all I need.

Things like working on the house can wait. He needs to feel as if someone really loves him and cares enough to visit him.

West... It's much better to look back on the day as you made the time to see him rather than to look back and see that you did not. It will make a world of difference to you both.

so very glad that you are going to go see him. paint can wait, you and he can not. it's good to take the time now to see him because like you said, soon you wont be there to be able to visit!

West you are doing the right thing - go visit! He will remember! Maybe you can make it a shorter visit day and still salvage the day doing something for the move.

Rew, I waitress part-time and you can sit at my table anytime....lol.

Rew, I can't help it, has your lady friend ever worked for Tips? I have found that most people that are bad tippers have never worked for them and realized how much of their living expenses come from those tips.

West... Visit him, you want to, you won't get much done if you sit there thinking about going to visit. Take the day and go and then come back with a clear head to finish the needful.. :)
