Here is a link to some observations about federal prison from the standpoint of a young man, Christopher Zoukis, who has been there for several years. He is now an advocate for prison reform; also an author, writing and educating people about federal prisons and the process an inmate goes through during his prison experience.

Christopher is also serving time for sex offenses, so his observations regarding sex offenders in federal prison are more valid than if he was in prison for a bank robbery or some other non-sexual offense.

I have found his writings to be insightful and honest. But more importantly, I find his information credible and helpful for anyone headed to federal prison.

Hopefully, some of the mothers and wives with sons or husbands headed to federal prison on sex charges can read the first story and be encouraged by the fact that the federal system does much more to protect the safety of sex offenders than does the state prisons.
