Out of frustration of those in government and those running for a government office wanting to play the age old game of claiming people are pedophiles to get votes, I sent an email to a man who was running for the school board, in dissent of his opinion letter. I copied the media on my email and subsequently, one of the editors asked permission to publish my email. I agreed.

The argument you make is one that has been used against other protected classes to say, you can have limited rights as long as they do not offend me, and it is still discrimination because it does not obey the law of a protected class having equal rights, as all others.
