The DOJ has agreed with the USSC that many of the provisions of child pornography sentencing need to be addressed.
I have included a link to a pdf file of the letter the DOJ wrote to the USSC
concerning the USSC's recent recommendations on child pornography
sentencing reform.

Do you have access or know the link that would show the document that the USSC crafted??
I read most of this response to the USSC, and it still is sounding that there are very few items in the report that the DOJ supports or endorses.. (real SHOCKER there, right??).
Any way, its heartening to note that EVEN the Sentencing Commission is rethinking there statutes.

they seem to be making a lot of progress on getting the sentencing lowered for federal drug charges, makes me think -will they feel the need to fill that void with sex offenders? how would they keep the prisons full without the war on drugs? create another war -against s.o.'s. ?
there is no doubt in my mind they have no intention on doing anything to deter the access of c.p. or do anything to curb the viewing of it (a campaign i would love to get behind!). i am afraid they are going to ignore this if for no other reason than to keep their prisons open and full of complacent customers.

@jackiecook---I agree---where will the fill those empty spaces in prison IF the possession of pot is legalized-hmmmm...o yeah..we got MILLIONS on the hook for taking innocent pics of their toddlers in the tub, your drunk friend for urinating on your backyard petunias and getting caught..oh, and lets not forget those damn videogaming teens who EASILY look at porn, and download the wrong pics...yep..no problem,,we will make up that deficit in a months' time......wow!!
