MyMan.... I have 2 bus stops on 2 corners of my property...but I was here first. I don't think they can make anyone move if/when they decide to put a bus stop anywhere. But I'm not in Floriduh where they place pocket parks purposely so that5 RSO's can't move close...

Regarding the bus stop issue, many courts have ruled that such laws cannot be applied retroactively, that is if the date of conviction is prior to the enactment of the law, it cannot be applied to the offender.

This is particularly true if the offender lived in the area prior to the bus stops being established and it is VERY true if the defendant owned his home within the designated area before conviction.

I don't think the law in Arkansas would likely survive a court battle, but Arkansas is in the midst of the dreaded Bible Belt, where superstition, pseudo science, and science deniers seem to dwell in large numbers. Ignorance runs rampant in that state as well as states like Oklahoma so anything is possible.

I was talking to a fellow Oklahoman yesterday and she mentioned she, like Ben Carson, did not believe in evolution but creationsim. One of the basic beliefs of creationism is that the world is only 6,000 years old. I asked her how the world has only been in existence for 6,000 years when we have found fossils millions of years old. She had no answer, but by damn, she was sincere in her belief.

Again, I doubt that you have a lot to worry about.

I'm a Creationist. I believe both science and the Bible to be true. The Bible says that to God, a thousand years is like a day. November is a ratings sweeps month. These TV stations make me sick with these fear mongering reports. Expect more throughout this month and then again in February - another sweeps month.
