OK.. I am really, really confused!!!! I have seen and spoke with (Family Members) that have a loved one incarcerated for child porn that was (a) attched to a music file (b) accidently downloaded and (c) some type of FBI tracer ( I am guessing about this)
My question is, WHY are these CP attached to music files? is this a new form of stopping pirated music? Are these files running some type of trojan horse that alerts the police to a persons ISP account?
I just don't know how the legal system can legally show that a person "WILLFULLY" obtained CP. I have seen on TV (local news) of a person who was arrested with like over 2 thousand pictures/videos of CP and to me I have been using computers since 1988, and to obtain that many pics you either have to DL a zip file or some other means. If I was to dl a file called CleanMaster.exe and it was a auto-zip executed application file, and It had CP on it instead of what the discription stated, HOW can I be charged with dl cp unwillingly?
I am just confused! It makes me scared to even download ANYTHING, how do I know that a "real" file that I downloaded had some form of secret attachment added to it that when it came to "UPDATE" the file it would secretly dl cp?
Anyway, I am TRULY sorry for all those who have had this happen to them, it is unfair and unjust...
I think there should be a law that if LIMEWIRE or any other file sharing network, shares any file (downloaded or uploaded) that has CP on it then the OWNERS of said network would be held liable.

Yeah.. that doesn't happen. If you do you stand a chance of being arrested. Most people don't know how tough the laws are on cp.
When they left my son's house I asked him about it and he said there were a couple and we both shrugged our shoulders like it shouldn't be a big deal. I asked the ICE agent if we should get a lawyer (duh) and she said no, and they'll get back to us in a few months with their decision.
