We had a discussion regarding the FBI's takeover of some sites on the Dark Net to unmask visitors attempting to access child porn. This was the one last year in which they used a javascript exploit to unmask some viewers attempting to access the Freedom Hosting servers that hosted child pornography.

That is what I was saying on another thread, that the polygraph is often used as an interrogation tool.

It is hard for me to believe that he spilled his guts like that. He just told everything in detail. He played right into their hands.

Not entrapment because he did confessed of his own free will. At most coercion...

Most people still believe in "Officer Friendly" a propaganda tool that has been used by law enforcement to down play their aggressive nature...

BTW, if you read his confession, he told the police about all his long standing crimes with children which had nothing to do with Freedom Hosting, which was why he was being investigated.

He really dug himself quite a hole there.

Lesson------DO NOT EVER talk to the police without an attorney.

Just exercise your right to shut up! You don't have to be rude about it either. Like Rew said on another post cops are interested in talking to 3 kinds if people: witnesses, victims, and suspects. If you aren't a witness or a victim -- then you need to shut up!

Do you have a search warrant? It's my personal policy to not allow unreasonable searches and seizures without a warrant.

"Can you tell us your side of the story?"

I could but anything I tell you can and most likely will be used against me in a court of law. I'd love to talk to you, but I'd first like to consult with an attorney and have them present for our conversation.

You cannot lie your way out of a situation. DO NOT TRY!
