I am so sorry that you have hit this emotional wall that most people in your situation experience at one time or another.
These situations can stress a person to the max. The human body is not equipped to withstand the 24/7 bombardment of worry, fear, and anxiety that these situations bring. If left completely untreated, the situation will consume you.
I would first make an appointment with your family physician and tell him exactly how you feel and why. He can prescribe you a mild antidepressant and/or anti-anxiety drug to help get your through this.
I have a degree in pharmacology, so I worked with these drugs. The newer SSRI antidepressants are very effective with few side effects. You may not see an improvement in your mood until several weeks after starting the drug, but most of the time these drugs will help. Antidepressants are not like other drugs in which you can feel their effects within a few hours of taking them; antidepressants take a couple of weeks before they “kick in.”
A good majority of the mothers/wives I help are on some form of antidepressant therapy. This class of drugs is not addicting and some of the generic forms of these SSRIs can be bought using the Wal Mart RX plan. You can buy a 30 days’ supply for four dollars or a 90 day supply for ten dollars.
While the drugs may help, you still need to be in some form of therapy. Pharmaceuticals were my field and I am not a psychologist, but I do have a close lady friend who is a forensic psychologist. She often tells me that therapy and a mild drug is often the answer.
So I would also find someone to talk to regarding your feelings and emotions. I know therapists are expensive, but they may have a program there to help in that regard. If you cannot talk to a professional therapist, find a close friend to talk to. But you need to talk about your feelings and bring these feelings to the forefront. Keeping these feelings inside and hidden is a prescription for a mental meltdown, which I have seen happen a few times.
Good luck,

Btw, I am running behind, but am still working on your other problem we discussed a few days ago.
When my son lived with me a few years ago, he went through a bad spell with a failed relationship. He became very depressed and began taking Celexa. He did very well. He took it for about a year until he did not need it any longer.
I always tell the mothers or wives to just give these drugs a chance. After all, what have you got to lose? If they do not work well for you and the physician cannot find a replacement that does work, you can always get off these drugs. Just give it a shot.
