I have been doing some study on the Interstate Compact program and I found this table which might help us all understand the conditions of parole and probation on a state-by-state basis.
I realize that probation requirements and conditions vary from state to state and from case to case even within that state. I also realize that sex offender probation is much more difficult than regular probation, but the table here will get you an idea of the requirements for those on probation in each state.
