Every person convicted has a Judgment and Sentence document, sometimes referred to as a J&S. It spells out the exact sentence and the statute under which the defendant was sentenced.
We always called it a J&S in Oklahoma and I am sure it is referred to in other states by the same name or something similar.
It is probably one of the most important documents a convicted person can have. It spells out in detail the nature of the sentence.

You can get a copy from the Court Clerk of the county from which your guy was convicted.
